GA 20 Biomedical and Health Informatics Research Assistant
The Research Assistant will support the faculty in the following manners:
- 60% research – the student will advance a research project in partnership with the community. The identified project is a fall prevention project for nursing home or other elderly population members. The student will advance the project through literature review, data analysis, participation in publications, and system design and implementation.
- 30% teaching – based on the research project, the student will create an educational resource in support of one of the courses in the BHI program.
- 10% service – the student will contribute to the Facebook site and group facilitation.
Qualifications include data analysis and data mining skills, app creation experience and sensor analytics. Faculty mentoring and online resources will be made available to improve on these skills.
The student will be required to be present in Syracuse for 20 hours per week, some of them being on week-end if needed.
