Job description and key responsibilities including virtual/remote expectations:
Qualifications
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Excellent organizational skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, Google Docs, and other software and social media programs
Responsibilities
• Assist office staff with various general office duties as needed, including reception and mail room duties if at physical location; if working remotely, to include email correspondence and responding to email inquiries. Should be able to answer questions regarding scheduling or transportation conflicts, applications, etc; and/ or be able to direct inquiries to appropriate individuals
• Assist with FPO candidate data collection, input and retrieval via TK 20 and FPO shared Google drive documents; if at physical location this will include creation and maintenance of paper candidate files.
• Review candidate resumes and cover letters and suggest quality edits
• Assist with organization of mass emailing to communicate with candidates, faculty, cooperating teachers, and school administrators;
• Assist Director with special projects as they occur, including creative presentation of semester and yearly placement reports (In-person or online)
• Monitor and update FPO website/Face book/Twitter accounts. Maintain social media accounts, monitor FPO website for active links (can be done online)
• Participate in all field placement staff meetings.(In person or online)
• Mentor FPO work-study interns (In-person or online)
• Assist OAII with updating daily calendar (can be done remotely via shared Google calendar)
• Assist with mentor teacher recruitment correspondence and data collection of mentor teacher availability on recruitment forms (can be done remotely via shared Google drive)
• Assist with placement compliance with SOE policies and procedures, assist Director and Assistant Coordinator in ensuring placement diversity
• Perform specific duties not limited to the ones listed

Behavioral expectations, i.e. preferred communication timeline for a GA to needs to call out sick: As soon as need for an absence or a schedule modification is known the GA should email request to director with CC to office secretary and general office email address (fpoffice@oswego.edu)
